Description
How to use your 90g solid natural shampoo bar. Well it’s pretty straightforward so here goes:
- Comb your hair before you get it wet. This step is really important especially of you use styling products.
- Next wet the bar and lather in hands and then apply the lather to hair. Or you can rub the bar directly onto your hair and lather that way. I have to say that I prefer to rub the bar on my hair. Why not try both and see which works best for you.
- One point to make is that you really do need to lather the soap up really well. You need to use lots of lather when washing your hair and please don’t forget the back of your head (yes I’m stating the obvious but you’d be surprised at the amount of people especially with long hair who miss this part of their head). You need to work the shampoo into your hair with water and lather it up.
- Before I started using soap bars, I used to use the horrible ones form the supermarket and I’d wash once and then twice. This always got a better lather. Well the soap bars are no different, so you will need to lather up once or twice in just the same way. Please make sure to rinse both times. You are then recommended to use an apple cider vinegar hair rinse! You can buy cider vinegar rinses of you can make your own. This is what you need to do:
Use the water that has been cooled from your herbal tea (e.g. chamomile/nettle) with either lemon or apple cider vinegar mix. The ratio should be around 4:1 (e.g. 100ml water/25ml apple cider vinegar). Or you could try using 2-4 tbsp apple cider vinegar to 16 oz of cool water (not from your herbal tea) and if you fancy popping in some lavender drops that’s fine I would recommend 1-2 drops max.
Please don’t leave your soap in a soggy soap dish or in an area with flowing water. In order to prolong the life of your soap allow the bar to dry in between uses.
